LACER's SUPER STAR CELEBRATION!
Honoring 10 Years of Service to the Youth of Los Angeles
with awards to Ozomatli, John Liechty and a special recognition to founders, Assemblymember
Jackie Goldberg and Sharon Stricker. The Brunch includes a silent auction,
a raffle as well as performances by LACER Artists,
youth and alumni.

Summer Session:
Opening July 6, 2005 at all four
sites.

There will be
receptions at each school, presentations from the workshops offered and an
opportunity to register for the Summer and Fall sessions.

House of Blues Saturday at 10:30am as part
of the "Make an Impression Program"!

Executive Director, Sharon Stricker Receives "Hollywood's Woman of Distinction"
Award:
On May 11,
2005 Sharon Stricker was honored for her work with youth in Hollywood as a
founder, volunteer and vanguard for Arts and Literacy Education after school.

May 3, 2005 - L.A. Dodgers Game

Nearly 200 LACER youth attended the
Los Angeles Dodgers game and were honored
on the field before the game! NEW! video from the field has been
added.

April 29-May 18, 2005 - Art
Show

LACER Artist/Instructor, Agustin Equihua-Ortiz's work was part of a group show at
Tribal Temple and included student work from The Bancroft Stars.

"City Life" at the Hollywood
Stars led by Melissa Reyes.
LACER is all about exposure to the
arts, literature, the theatre, dance and music, and now because of the work of
Melissa Reyes, Program director at Le Conte Middle School, it is also exposure
on a regular basis to a variety of interesting city landmarks.
