"LACER is important to me because it has good classes that kids like.  I wish LACER would never end. I like it so much because it is fun. Soccer is the best for me and also dance!”

Danny R., 7th grade

“LACER is important because I get to do fun activities and I get help on my homework. I also get to go to fun field trips. It is important because before I could not act in from of people, I would get shy, same thing with singing. Not now!”

Stephanie R., 8th grade

“LACER is important to me because I have fun and it's cool. I like coming to Basketball and to the Computer Lab. I see my friends and it its lots of fun. They give us free snacks and take us on field trips and it’s cool!”

"Once On This Island"

One stormy night, thunder booms, making a small girl cry in fear. To comfort her, storytellers tell her the story of Ti Moune, a peasant girl who falls in love with a grand boy named Daniel. A story of life, pain, love, grief, and faith.

LACER's Hollywood Stars Theater Workshop presents the award-winning musical "Once on this Island".  Performances have been scheduled for the LeConte Middle School student body during the day, as well as performances after school for the youth of LACER and the community.  Don't miss this wonderful musical, directed by Elizabeth Guilliams.
