WHY ARE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS IMPORTANT?
Many of our students tell us that without L.A.C.E.R. they would be home alone every day without anything to do but watch TV or hang out.  Other students say that L.A.C.E.R. is the reason they have managed to stay out of trouble or not join a gang.  They tell us that without L.A.C.E.R. they would not have access to homework help, art & music classes or sports teams.  Studies show that students who attend after school programs engage in more pro social behavior and are more likely to graduate from high school.
